Apples colourful iPhone XR to go on sale in India starting 6PM today

Apple’s colourful flagship candidate, the iPhone XR (pronounced 'Ten R'), will be available in India and around the world starting today at 6PM. So if you are looking to head to that Apple reseller store offline or planning to buy the phone online, you will be able to do so starting today evening. Till now, the device was available for pre-booking through Airtel, Jio, Paytm Mall, and Amazon, and offline from resellers like iWorld, Imagine, and others. Being the cheapest iPhone of the three that were launched this year, the iPhone XR comes in three storage variants and all of these feature 3GB RAM. Here’s how the three iPhone XR variants are priced: iPhone XR 64GB storage price - Rs 76,900   iPhone XR 128GB storage price - Rs 81,900 iPhone XR 256GB storage price - Rs 91,900 While the phone carries the lowest price tag compared to the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, it is still pretty premium and unaffordable for many in India. In terms of specs, the device gets toned down hardware in the form of a 6.1-inch 720p “Liquid Retina” display, which is basically an LCD panel, and a single rear camera. It does sport the same Face ID setup as the iPhone X, but it’s faster due to the new A12 Bionic SoC. There's no 3D touch on the phone, but it features a new Haptic touch system. In terms of camera, the iPhone XR comes equipped with a single rear camera setup with a 12MP wide-angle sensor and f/1.8 aperture. The primary camera is supplemented with Optical Image Stabilisation and comes with a 6-element lens and 1.4µm pixel size. The notch on the front houses the same components as last year’s iPhone X to enable Face ID, along with Animojis and Memojis. There is also a 7MP sensor that can capture selfies in portrait mode. The smartphone runs on iOS 12 and is also IP67 certified. iPhone XR buying offers The iPhone XR comes in a host of colour options and will be available in Black, PRODUCT (RED), Blue, Coral, White, and Yellow colours. Buyers purchasing the iPhone XR from the Airtel Online Store will get to make a downpayment starting at Rs 14,999 and then pay EMIs of Rs 3,499 for 24 months, which come bundled with 100GB of data per month, unlimited calling, free Netflix for 3 months and one year of free Amazon Prime subscription. Reliance Jio is offering a 5 percent cashback on EMI or 5x reward points on non-EMI payments when using either Citibank or Axis Bank credit cards. Amazon is offering a no-cost EMI option on Bajaj Finserv EMI cards and HDFC credit and debit cards. Paytm Mall is offering an additional Rs 7,000 off on regular exchange with the phones. Those who are buying the iPhone XR through retail stores offline, will get to avail a 5 percent cashback on EMI or 5x reward points on non-EMI payments when using Citibank or Axis Bank credit cards. Low-cost EMIs for offline buyers will be available for tenures of 12 or 24 months. The iPhone XR wil 64GB storage variant can be purchased at EMIs of as low as Rs 3,499 per month for 24 months.
